Global Colorectal Surgery Education Initiative
Transforming Colorectal Surgery in Low- and Middle-Income Countries
We are advancing access to specialized colorectal surgery and comprehensive care in low- and middle-income countries through education, training, and long-term partnerships.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a future in which every person in low- and middle-income countries has access to high-quality colorectal surgery and comprehensive care for colorectal diseases.
We are working toward a true paradigm shift in how colorectal care is delivered, taught, and sustained in resource-constrained settings.
About the Initiative
The Global Colorectal Surgery Education Initiative is the first specialty training program in colorectal surgery of its kind in the country. We focus on training colorectal surgeons, building local capacity, and supporting sustainable systems of care.

Our Work
We design and deliver colorectal surgery education programs that strengthen local training, improve patient outcomes, and support long-term system change in partner institutions.
Training & Mentorship
Hands-on surgical education, case discussions, and ongoing mentorship for colorectal trainees.
Curriculum & Systems-Building
Co-developed curricula and clinical pathways tailored to local needs and resources.
Research & Quality Improvement
Collaborative projects to evaluate outcomes and continuously refine care.
